My good friends Finis Price, Grant Griffiths, and Ben Stevens have all written in the last few days about a wonderful Google group called MILO – Macs in Law Offices. Now, it’s my turn to shine a spotlight on this group.
As Grant and Ben, the founders of MILO just six short months ago, said, they “began MILO six months ago to provide a forum where open discussions were encouraged, which unfortunately does not happen in all groups.” In the past few days alone, I asked a question about free Mac graphics programs and free Mac FTP clients (what can I say? Bootstrapper, remember?) and received several great suggestions from folks who’d had direct experience with the programs in question. This is what I love about MILO – lots of experience, and people willing to share that experience freely.
And recently – within the last 24 hours, in fact – MILO got its 200th member. Not too shabby for a impudent little upstart group! If you want to learn more about Macs and how to use them in your law practice, you can’t do better than MILO. Give them a try today – sign-up is free.
